Printable | Number Formation Practice

Printable | Number Formation Practice | Teacher@Home

Having made a template for letter formation practice pages, the next logical step was to create number formation practice pages.

One commenter noted that it it's important to remember that children have 52 letters to learn how to write, and I would add to that, in that there is also ten figures needed if children are to be successful in mathematics.

62 different figures to learn is quite a number, and I want to make it as interesting as I can for my girls.  These practice pages only come into use after a heck of a lot of fine motor work (that pincer grip is vital), and a lot of fun-style letter/number recognition games, and letter/number formation through other media, including craft activities, playdough, chalk on concrete, and letter/number manipulatives.

I have included the figures 0 to 9. If you can write those, you can write any number.

You can download a copy of the number formation practice pages here.

    1. Thanks Sarah! I figured that I'd have to modify my whole template for sight words, so numbers was a" way to squeeze one more printable out of my original template. It struck me that while I remember learning to write letters, I don't recall ever being taught how to write numbers, though I must have learned them around the same time.

  17. Hi!

I love these printables!! I was just wondering if you had a blank you were willing to share. I hate to be picky, but we just make our numbers differently than the ones you shared and I figured I would ask. If not, I certainly do understand! Thanks so much!!
